Their work includes sustainable mineral resource extraction, rock mechanics and geomechanics, advanced mining systems, environmental control technologies, underground safety, mine ventilation, automation, repurposing of mining byproducts, mitigation of industrial health, safety and environmental risks, processing of ores and mineral deposits to recover valuable minerals for refining into the commodities we use in our daily lives, and eco-friendly recovery of rare earth elements and other critical minerals.
